Transcription: Dynamite is used mainly in quarries and mines for blasting. It's a mixture of nitroglycerin and a form of silica called kieselguer, which acts as an absorbent and renders the nitroglycerin much more stable and consequently safer to handle. The proportions of dynamite are 75% nitroglycerin and 25% kieselguer.
